AMY CONRAD

Amy Lattarulo-Conrad is a seasoned communications and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience working in public, education, youth advocacy, landscape industry, commercial real estate, arts and culture, health and non-profit sectors. She owns and operates a public relations firm, Conrad PR and has experience working as a writer, field producer and production assistant in print, radio and broadcast television. Lattarulo-Conrad’s early career involvement in non-profit arts and culture, youth and health advocacy and water conservation championship further developed into working in city government and education sectors. Lattarulo-Conrad founded Conrad PR, which has helped many local San Diego as well as national organizations with their communications and marketing visionary and strategical needs, earning trust for client retention lasting over 15 years on most contracts.

In addition to working as an owner of a PR firm, she served in the communications departments for the second largest city in San Diego County, Chula Vista and in Lemon Grove, CA. While operating Conrad PR since 2004, Conrad has engaged with key stakeholders and political officials in San Diego County, managed contractors and projects to include (but not limited to) graphic design, web development, video production and brand campaigns and has developed and managed several events. She served as the President for the Grossmont Union High School District Educational Foundation, where she gained extensive knowledge about the world of education, championed for teachers to have funding for their special projects, worked closely with district personnel, served as spokeswoman and planned and executed the district’s 100th year celebration. For this work, she earned an award for which she was recognized by local government officials. As the Executive Director of Youth for Christ, Lattarulo-Conrad led a youth mentoring organization that performed outreach to San Diego’s highest risk teenagers, including low socio-economic and refugee populations. Increasingly involved in community service, Lattarulo-Conrad has served in San Diego’s East County at local food banks, schools teaching English to refugee families as they immigrated into her hometown, El Cajon, CA and can be seen every winter in Tecate, Mexico where she joins an El Cajon organization in building a home for a needy family.

Lattarulo-Conrad’s media experience includes posts at KGTV Ch. 10 News San Diego, KPBS San Diego and ABC News in Washington DC. She has acted as Public Relations Director for two major trade associations, The Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park and the Coronado Historical Association. At each post she created a public relations department within the development interests of each organization, executed successful community awareness and “call to action” campaigns tailored to public and organizational membership audiences. She also served as a public relations professional for the top-ranking national PR firm, Fleishman-Hillard. Her overall experience is joined with a solid foundation of organizational management, strong project management skills, innovative new approaches to “getting the word out” and the ability to strategize and implement relevant and contemporary visions.
